Offerings
Each family will have their own unique postpartum experience that will require me, as your postpartum doula, to show up differently. There is no such thing as “one size fits all” postpartum support! Bespoke, tailored support is a non-negotiable.
However, the core values of all my postpartum offerings remain the same: to hold and support you through the transformative shift that is early parenthood.
If you are seeking postpartum support that is grounded in connection, that honours the tenderness and sacredness of this season and that centres you as an integral part of your family’s wellbeing — let’s chat.
-
For those seeking continuity of care in the tender postpartum season, I offer extended 1:1 postpartum support for 6, 10 or 12 weeks. Typically this involves one three-hour visit per week over the chosen time period. Other custom time-frames can be tailored with discussion.
A core aspect of my postpartum offerings is providing compassionate and attuned emotional support to postpartum parents, in particular by:
Holding compassionate space for you to debrief about your feelings, highs as well as challenges on any given day; and
Planning, preparing and guiding you through a range of reflective exercises and activities (e.g. journalling, art and mindfulness-based practices).
This is where my strength as a postpartum professional lies and hence, where I can provide the most value to you in the early postpartum period.
In addition to the core offerings above, the following are complementary services that I can provide in my role as a postpartum professional, depending on your particular needs and preferences:
practical support including light housework;
enabling the time and space for you to recharge/rest/have time to yourself, by caring for your newborn;
companionship and emotional support including lending a non-judgemental ear to help you tune out the ‘noise’;
helping connect you with fellow like-minded families, classes and groups in your local community;
accompanying you on outings with your new baby and supporting you to “get out of the house” - e.g. to playgroups, walks.
For an additional investment, the following offerings can also be included in your postpartum support. These are optional, however I would encourage you to consider each carefully, as they can be a powerful way to ritualise, honour and reflect upon your pregnancy and postpartum experiences:
Facilitating a Mother’s Blessing Ceremony on your behalf prior to the birth of your baby (price on request); and
Facilitating a Closing of the Bones Postpartum Ceremony at the conclusion of our time together (investment: $199.00)
Please note: Engaging a postpartum doula is a deeply personal experience that should be grounded in connection between you (as the parent) and myself (as your doula). You'll get the most out of me if you feel comfortable opening up to me. As such, all my packages include time allocated for catch-ups to allow us to get to know each other better, before your postpartum journey begins.
Investment:
6 weeks I $1,750
// includes: meetings during your pregnancy and18 hours of in-person postpartum support
10 weeks I $2,750
// includes: meetings during your pregnancy and 30 hours of in-person postpartum support
12 weeks I $3,350
// includes: meetings during your pregnancy and 36 hours of in-person postpartum support

A Closing of the Bones is a postpartum ceremony that aims to gently invite a new parent back into their body after the transformative period of pregnancy and childbirth.
I offer this through a combination of:
light massage of the abdominal area; and
gently wrapping key parts of your body from head to toe in shawls (commonly referred to as “rebozos”), so you can indulge in the sensation of being held and supported.
The practice has its origins in many non-Western cultures including Mexico, Ecuador, Tunisia, Russia and Morocco - where postpartum mothers were, and still are, anointed, massaged and wrapped.
The practice offers you the chance to go inwards: a pause to the outward energy that parenting often demands and an opportunity to be held for a little while - by the cloth and by myself, as the person holding the space for you.
Whilst it’s ideal for new parents, this practice isn’t limited to them and can be beneficial for a person who birthed many months or years ago.
The ceremony is performed in a child-free space free from distractions. Broadly speaking, it involves:
Guided meditation on arrival, to ease you into the space
Light abdominal massage
Gentle wrapping of key areas of your body with rebozos
Tea and an opportunity to debrief
A nurturing, supportive environment, free of distractions
Other meaningful rituals personal to you may be incorporated into the ceremony with prior notice
Investment: $199 (inclusive of refreshments and all materials required)
